The Clinical Immersion Program in Tulsa, OK, includes hands-on instruction in real orthodontic cases. You'll be guided by Dr. Brad Williams, a respected GP Orthodontic Practitioner with over 40 years of experience. COURSE REQUISITES: Basic Comprehensive Straight Wire course concurrent or completed. An AOS Membership is required to participate in or monitor this course.

Course Description
This clinical residency is designed to take the guesswork out of transitioning from orthodontic theory to real-world application. Spanning three intensive weekends, this hands-on program bridges the gap between classroom knowledge and live clinical practice, turning concepts into reliable chairside skills.
IN-PERSON
Each session will consist of:
Friday:
- Treatment planning, diagnosing and review of the patient cases to be treated by participants in the Skiatook clinic on Saturday.
- Review of any current cases students are treating in their practices and/or any new orthodontic cases they are considering for treatment.
Saturday:
- Students treat orthodontic patients in clinic including making records for diagnosis; radiographs, photographs & scans including analysis, diagnosis & treatment planning.
- Doing initial placement on new patients (as schedule allows)
- Servicing existing patients, bonding brackets & cementation of bands, placing wires, using elastomeric and steel ligatures, etc.
- Removing orthodontic appliances & delivery of retainers
Dr. Williams is assisted by several Oklahoma licensed, orthodontically experienced dentists and assistants who supervise and aid participants as they treat orthodontic patients during the clinical day, each session.
Dr. Williams is dedicated to supporting his students and is always available to answer concerns by phone, text and email.
This program equips students to confidently diagnose and treat Class I and simple Class II malocclusion patients using Fixed, Non-extraction Straight Wire Orthodontics. Whether you choose the full 2-year program for a comprehensive experience or individual 3-session modules for flexibility, you’ll gain practical skills to enhance your practice.

As monitors, second year students will assist/mentor 1st year participants and participate "over-the-shoulder" in the clinic.
Dr. Williams is assisted by several Oklahoma licensed, orthodontically experienced dentists and assistants who supervise and aid participants as they treat orthodontic patients during the clinical day, each session.

Continuing Education Credits*

Dress Code
- Wear clinical attire for in-office day on Saturday.
- The dress code for the event is business casual.

The American Orthodontic Society is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing education programs of this program provider are accepted by the AGD for Fellowship/Mastership and membership maintenance credit.
