Saving Lives Everyday (Airway)
The mouth is teeming with bacteria, both helpful and harmful. This oral microbiome plays a critical role in overall health, influencing the gut and even the developing immune system of a baby. Factors like antibiotics, sugary diets, and mouth breathing can disrupt this balance, leading to a domino effect of health problems.
Fortunately, there are ways to improve the oral microbiome. Prebiotics, probiotics, and addressing mouth breathing can all contribute to a healthy balance of bacteria. This not only improves oral health but can also potentially prevent serious illnesses like metabolic syndrome and Alzheimer's disease.
