Dear AOS Life Members,

Your contributions, presence, and support are what fuel our mission to empower dentists through orthodontics and they do not go unnoticed.

As your board president and a fellow Life Member of the AOS I wanted to share some changes to our membership offerings.

As many of you know, the AOS offered the Life Member option between 2010 and 2015. We had over 200 members sign up! For the past 8 years or so I, along with most of you, have experienced the same member benefits for the $1,500 life member fee that other members have paid $3500 and $4500 for.

I know I speak for more than myself when I say that the benefits have far outweighed the investment.

Unfortunately, our life membership program does not cover the costs associated with membership. It is not sustainable for AOS as an organization, and we want to continue to offer the amazing benefits our members have come to expect.

Because of this, we are sunsetting the life membership.

However, there is good news! If you want to continue to receive the benefits you are used to plus more, you can sign up for one of our annual membership options.

In keeping with our mission, we are adding the following to our program in 2023:

New Member Benefits Launching in 2023

• A secure online community and app
• A digital case review portal
• Virtual mentorship on the online and app platform via our most experienced members
• Access to free education through the eLearning platform

I am thankful for all of the relationships I have made and the synergetic relationship between our dental professionals. I passionately desire for the AOS to continue its mission and continue to be a place where dentists find education, community, and encouragement.
